By the time the game comes out they're already working on jewing you out of your money with the DLC, and then after that they move on to squeezing out next year's turd. They might release a patch or two for the first couple of months and then that's it. They already have your money so fuck you.
That's why you can play 2k22 right now and it's still riddled with bugs even a year later. If you try to use created content in a match there's a good chance the game will glitch out and give you a black/blue screen so you can't see what the fuck is going on. And they're hardly going to patch it now are they?
