>go for pin
>opponent's partner breaks it up while yours is still on the apron
>hit finisher again
>go to knock off opponent's tag partner
>he reverses it and the other guy gets back up again
>stun the partner, go for a finisher again
>the opponent reverses it
>hit the finisher again eventually
>the knock off the partner
>go for pin
>opponent kicks out and 2.9
>It's been 50 minutes and you're still playing the same tag team match

They used to at least have a button to have your partner attack the opponent but that hardly ever worked either
The solution is don't play tag matches with one player lmao

The solution is to have elimination tag team matches with KO enabled, that's probably the only possible way to do Survivor Series as well but this year the custom match is so fucked, you can hardly edit anything and when I go to Play Now mode, I can't even use the custom SS match for some reason. I can't imagine where I can even play this fucking custom match that I created in their creation suite, maybe universe mode idk.

kek if only it worked like this, still don't understand why they can't have a dedicated "have your partner kill the other partner" button. Maybe it will be the special selling point of WWE 2k25 with no other added feature and many features removed

That's a pretty good workaround too. KO's are based idk why people don't like turning them on it actually balances out the gameplay like a lot. Less climactic than a pin I guess but it's very viable in Smackdown 2 season mode.
Ultimately the best workaround is to just keep playing Smackdown 2, SYM, and HCTP cuz those season modes will never be topped

KO works really well with Survivor Series because IRL that's basically what happens, you get hit with a finisher and you're done and your teammate has to quickly step up unless there's just a few guys left. None of the 3 other guys on the opponent's team is going to come to break up your fucking pin, like in the game., that doesn't even happen that often in a regular tag match, unless it's leading to a climax.
I like HCTP and all but the matches there took so long. Once you became good at the game, you were just always trying to take your enemy down to red, hit finsiher and pin and the regular matches would drag so long. One thing I can say about 2k23 is that you can actually do squash matches. I was just playing Orton vs Kofi and within like 20 sec of me beating the fuck of him at the start, Kofi already had an orange head.

Yeah you definitely have to be in the mood for 20 minute grind it out matches if you play HCTP. Especially on Smackdown! difficulty those cunts reverse like their lives depended on it.
You can definitely squash someone in 2 minutes in SD2 though. Sometimes even before their teammates can run in. Run ins were the best part about that game desu
