I think Darby came away looking the best during that segment. I'm excited for this mostly because all of these guys should be pushing each other to come out the best. Best case scenario is they get a massive organic underdog babyface. It's certainly a fresh idea for a program. I really don't see what there is to complain about considering the last year of title feuds (except for Ricky Starks) have all been established stars

Jungle Boy's elevation to main event was booked horribly, just beating jobbers and then one match witch Christian and suddenly he's at the top. Bullshit.
Sammy is the third from top guy in a midcard faction so he seems the most out of place.
The way they set this up was the real problem. Jungle boy comes out randomly and stands there waiting because Sammy is coming out and they just stand in the ring corners and then Darby comes out and they all stand in the corners and wait there. It was amateur hour. And their promos were worked shoot bullshit

Jungle Boy has B2B wins at PPVs over Luchasaurus and Christian, I think it's fair that he's in the mix.

Whether intentional or not, it isn't like there are a ton of contenders at the moment. Who else would you even put in this spot who isn't already a former champion?

The worked shoot stuff is fair, but I don't really get the rest. They all interrupted each other. Did you want them all to just come out swinging fists without hearing what anyone had to say?

The only person who got interrupted was Sammy.
They stopped and stood there while another guy walked to the ring and didn't even motion that they were trying to say something. They just stopped and stood in a corner each. There wasn't even any body language, no frustration from anyone besides MJF. It was a promo segment worked the same way these guys wrestle; they walked into position and waited for their turn to do their spot.
If Tony was booking towards this match then he should have been booking these guys strong. Last we heard from Darby, he was cutting a promo telling Ortiz he would help him fight House of Black, days before HoB started their shit with the Elite.
Jungle Boy has been looking like a goof for weeks and in the lag between ppvs he's been having heatless matches with random jobbers.
Sammy has been barely beating Action Andretti via interference.
It feels midcard and 2/4 guys in this are not ready for this spot.

Only MJF is an undisputed maineventer. That's why the other three are getting all jobbed out here at once; might as well since they'll never do the work.

No shit. Nobody is an undisputed main eventer until they actually are in the main event for the first time. They have to be put in the spot and succeed. Steve Austin was just an upper midcard guy once upon a time too.

MJF learned how to wrestle better, he got in better shape, he elevated his promos, he promotes himself and the company regularly outside of the shows, *HE* has done the work and produced the results that's expected of a main eventer; the other guys have not, to varying degrees.

And you can be a maineventer before you're even put into it, because it's a condition, not a status.
