>>9375256I enjoyed the Christian feud. Goes to show that he would work just fine in WWE midcards at worst.*
I agree with the main sentiment of this thread that he should be presented more as a singles competitor. For all the backstage drama about The Elite holding others down, almost nobody talks about the disparity of talent between the Bucks and Omega. Omega needs to get away from them because they've already soured what should have been his big break in the West (even though a cable audience already chose not to watch them on AXS TV but we don't talk about that).
One interesting piece of this that people forget is that The Bucks were a much bigger name then Kenny was in America at the time AEW started. The Bucks had a huge ROH match with The Hardyz one night before they returned to WWE at Wrestlemania in 2017. They had more online notoriety (positive and negative) for gifs of their ring work. Omega was known but he felt like he catered to Japan a lot more then the US. The Bucks were always trying to be ironic eat your wheaties 80s wrestler parodies for American kids and they curtainjerked in Japan.
What I'm getting at is AEW would have been created without Omega but it would not have been created without The Bucks. They were the momentum and they are the ones that dropped the ball by being shitters on weekly television.
*Seriously at worst in WWE he would still be more successful then even a handpicked guy like Gargano. He'd probably wind up above Ricochet's power level.
