>>9386334Its a bad thing because the company is a money hole. TK is not running a sustainable company and ultimately those companies don't last. People want AEW to make profits because AEW needs to make profits to survive.
This idea that Shad Khan has $10bn lying around is just not how finance works. A significant amount of his "worth" is tied up in FnG and he isn't selling his prime business venture to release capital for an unprofitable wrestling company.
Billionaires, as in people with a billion dollars in liquid assets, do not exist in the real world. Every company has to make money to survive. In fact consistently losing money will hugely affect their ability to do business with others. Companies credit check each other before entering into contracts and having a rich owner isn't really a factor in that, the foundations of the company are. They'll be forced to pay higher rates, higher interest, shorter payment terms creating cash flow issues, and it generally will have a negative effect on their business operations.
Shad Khan has almost certainly covered costs using debt to equity transfers but this is considered a large risk factor when dealing with contractors because its a single point of failure for the company and its ability to pay its bills.
/pw/ really does have a terrible understanding of how finances work in the real world. It's not ok for a business to consistently lose money for years without establishing a dominant market position and that's not what AEW are doing. Their revenue is single digits percent of the industry leader and the gap is widening. You guys can shitpost all day but AEW turning a profit consistently is extremely important.
