Omega/Vikingo is happening only as a last ditch effort by Kenny to prove he's a draw and get big money from Tony via contract renewal.
If the match gets shitty ratings and the show gets no milly, then Omega will have lost all face/bargaining position against Tony Khan. But if he does get big ratings and especially if the show does a milly, then expect Omega to get a big contract renewal and dethrone MJF at the May PPV.
Also, there is increasing tension internally with Adam Page for refusing to work with Preston Vance. Page personally got Stu Grayson rehired to back up his desire to excise Preston from Dark Order, due to Page disliking and being super jealous of Preston. Preston himself is pissed that Dark Order has sycophantically sided with Page against him in this matter and very much bitter that Stu has turned his back on Preston, after Preston burnt a "queen for a day" favor Tony Khan gifted him last year to get Stu brought back for an episode of AEW TV after Tony ghosted him. Preston is increasingly frustrated and pissed off at the company for jerking him around and treating him like shit in terms of false promises.
