Sabu's whole thing was that he would just launch himself off of things with abandon because the only thing he cared about was hurting his opponent and was willing to sacrifice himself to do it. If you believe him and others, Sabu would also intentionally botch at times to add to the fact that he was a crazy fucker with no regard for even his own safety, much less his opponent's. It made him cool and unpredictable.
Vikingo is just a modern day indy geek who flips because everyone else flips because that's what gets you attention from people who watch gifs on twitter, regardless of whether or not the flips add anything to the match. Aero Star is (or at least was during his peak) closer to Sabu than fucking Vikingo.
