Also, Bryan Danielson could debut in, say, Dominion and still be in the G1. If it were Bryan and they'd bother having a video for him like this, then it stands to reason they'd have him for a good amount of dates.

The timing makes sense for a junior but unlike last year where people were immediately suggesting Akira, I so far don't think I've seen any juniors suggested. Probably not a big name like Danielson. When we start getting hints about this time of year, it's usually for a new guy coming into Best of the Super Juniors. Both ELP and Akira are good examples. Based on how the AEW contracts are written, I expect there is a set amount of dates on his deal for NJPW or other extra curriculars. Could be that he's been saving them up like sick days and is using a bunch of them at once.
Some sort of trade could be involved as well.

On the subject of the junior division its notable that they have nine Young Lions and graduates on excursion and other than Knight they all look like clear heavyweights. On one hand, the junior division is probably going to look more or less how it does for a while, but as someone in another thread pointed out, with the recent faction shakeups it looks like more of them will have chances at the title, or at least feel like plausible contenders. DOUKI is far more likely to win it at some point now that he's not in the same group as Despy, Eagles is more likely to get it again and is in a faction that suits him better than CHAOS and now YOH is the clear guy in CHAOS to get it now that they're in different factions.

Narita and Shota are performing better right now than Wato was a year after his return to Japan, at least give them a G1 before dismissing them. I'll bet half the people pumped for Tsuji's return will talk about him the same way they talk about Umino if he shows any awkwardness in the ring in his first few matches or has a less than stellar gimmick.

They guy I was responding to bashed Narita as well, but in general he doesn't get as much shit as Umino. Finlay I'm more worried about than Umino, although I think the trend of dismissing these guys as soon as they don't have things fully figured out on return is annoying. I remember people talking about how great Finlay did in the 2021 NJC and last year at the G1 and Shota being the standout in that Forbidden Door 6-man match and hyping them up, but then once they're fully back or getting a push in Bullet Club the fact that they haven't ironed out all of their issues means they're Yujiro-tier. I know Finlay is different bc he's been a graduate for a long time, but I'll give him a few feuds/storylines before calling him a failure (he's probably feuding with Tama next, and nobody has their best match with him, but hopefully afterwards he has the right feud to make him shine).

And yeah, he's gonna have a match with Tametty now. It's grim. I think Forbidden Door has a big chance of being grim for him as well. Even Jay, as based as he was, had difficulty trying to shine through to trannies, most of which either never saw anything from him or haven't seem in years. Finlay is gonna have his work cut out for him.

For a full month after every Juice match. Then after he did his run in at Double or Nothing the revealed it was Moxley. Also, the whole Death Rider thing came from those videos and had nothing to do with Mox. Whoever did the costuming for the teaser just found a random jacket, which wasn't worn by Mox since it's not him in the video, that said Death Rider and used it and Mox liked it so he adopted that.
