I wasn't even watching when Punk / Cena was being built but still heard about it. I had no idea who Punk was but it got me watching again.
Triple H had to ruin it just like when I used to watch in 2003.
Cena / Rock (and Lesnar's return the following night) kept me around. But during that entire time nothing felt bigger than Bryan's ascent to the top. I had no idea who he was either but his popularity is something that has yet to be duplicated. He was universally over with marks, smarks, anti-smarks.
Sami was the closest thing to that but still so far off.
