>>9426201it makes sense considering that the first Forbidden Door, for all of the complaints about "bad builds," "no storylines," "no introductions/video packages/explanation for the New Japan wrestlers," and having to change/cancel multiple matches due to injuries/Covid still ended up winning Wrestler Observer show of the year and (regardless of anyone's thoughts on that fan vote) was pretty much universally praised as incredible. I flew to Chicago to see the first one and it absolutely over-delivered. As someone who watches both NJPW and AEW, it was a fever dream of awesome.
