The entrance is more over than anything to do with Edge that isn't his *heel* Rated R Superstar gimmick.

it's way more memorable and catchier than the vast majority of themes, the entrance of course plays into people remembering it even though the Brood weren't near the top of the card
outside of Kane's theme there weren't really many harder/darker sounding themes that were anywhere near the same tier, at least when wrestling was popular

The Brood wasn't THAT over back in their day. They were low carders at best. The entrance was cool yes but that was it. Edge was just Gangrel's bitch btw. And he's done the Brood entrance twice since his big return tour and each time it got a pretty tepid response.

But E &C were no longer even vampires by then and had left Gangrel. In fact on that PPV, it was the Hardyz who did The Brood entrance (the short-lived New Brood)
And then the next day they all turned on + attacked Gangrel who frankly did nothing wrong and just wanted to show these young bloods the way.

That was debut Edge when he first showed up and was then feuding with Gangrel.
