What's the Kayfabe reason for a Steel Cage match by just running the opposite side as fastover fence where the bell rings?

Steel cage matches have no meaning anymore, they are just another gimmick. They are supposed to be the absolute last resort, final match of a series...total bloodbaths with no chance of interference. Now they mean nothing, usually ending in some faggy door escape.

If you think about it "steel cage" matches in WWE are a perfect example of carnyism

In kayfabe, for the babyface, this match is supposed to be a revenge match against a cowardly heel to dish more than normal punishment or to keep the heels partners from interfering.

Reminds me of Owen and Bret's cage match. It's fucking awful. The whole thing is built as a highly dramatic blood feud, and they spend the entire match trying to leave.

Bret and Owen had a cage match like that ,it might have even been one of the first ones with the door added in, and it was based. The only problem is Bret and Owen are the only 2 people who have the wrestling minds and ability to work it that way.
