Whatever bray’s original vision of the fiend was (probably that he only targeted wrestlers he had history with) Vince ruined it for him and he doesn’t want to do the character anymore, atleast for now,, so we have a Cody/Stardust situation where he’d rather stay at home then be the fiend because of what Vince did to the character, after wrestlemania 37 he stayed at home for months before he was released and before he left on the funhouse he said he’d be a new character when he came back
