The problem is the ambiguous definition of a PED. If you're an otherwise healthy male who takes HGH, you're abusing a PED to gain a competitive edge. If however your body fails to produce testosterone in its own, then HGH is a necessary medication for you to function and is hence not a PED. They often ignore the fact that your body fails to produce testosterone due to abusing HGH, but whatever. It's a stupid loophole which is how people like Bobby lashley can "pass" drug tests. HGH shows up but he needs it.
