Why wouldn't you use this issue to draw some of the biggest potential ratings the show could muster? have half the wrestlers(loners and tattooed freaks) side with Punk and the other with Elite(entertainment wrestlers and neutrals like Samoa Joe, Miro, Ethan Page) and make it a war

yep. wwe randomly fluctuates by 100k viewers every week. it really is not a significant number unless your viewing figures are totally abysmal. he is not enough of a draw to justify it. and if you put the title on him you are consigning aew to a life of being a laughing stock, because you cant have cm punk, the ufc meme, show up anywhere in public with your belt. nobody respects him or takes him seriously

The amount of cope by fat people here is tremendous.

Punk meant millions of dollars. Biggest merch seller of all time in AEW, tops for 21/22. Biggest PPV numbers. Popped big demo numbers, and you can see they’ve declined and the 18-49 numbers are down 20-40% between the two shows.

Punk meant $, way more than any of the angry simps still there, which is why Tony will still try to bring him back. Phil should stay home and collect the checks and retire to be honest.

This was confirmed by both sides to be complete bullshit. They always got along and Kenny was home healing when the Hangman / Punk stuff was happening. Kenny compared the backstage brawl to a locker team hockey room fight and said it was common in sports and they should all get past it and work together.
