Say what you will about the sequels, but the original Rocky is anything but "capeshit-adjacent goyslop," which you would know if you'd actually watched it. If anything, if it came out today, audiences would likely be bored by the pacing and let down by the relative dearth of actual boxing in it (95% of which is in the final ten minutes of the film).
