The two biggest eras of wrestling ever were filled with casual fans.
There's a lot more casual fans than hardcore fans. You figure out how to appeal to them and you are not only going to make a lot of money and be able to do things like put on bigger shows and put on shows more often, but you also get new people interested in wrestling who may end up being part of the next gen of wrestlers.
And the biggest hardcore fans almost all started out as non fans or casual fans. All of today's indy favorites grew up watching Hulk or Austin. It seems odd that you get stuff like Chikara, ICW No Holds Barred and DDT making stops in the US through Hogan and Austin, but that's exactly what happened.<div class="xa23b"><span class="xa23t"></span><span class="xa23i"></span></div>
