Commercials are based, they give you time to go to the bathroom or smoke a cigarette or eat. Not everybody can sit and watch a 180 minute soccer match with no breaks like you Euros, some people have lives. And anyway, soccer jerseys are literally covered in ads like Nascar cars

Its fucking insane. I tried watching RAW live for the anniversary and I couldnt believe my eyes. Ads between every promo/match AND picture-in-picture ads during the matches themselves. Literally constant ads with occasionally some men wrestling in a small box in the corner of the screen
Thats why I just watch raw/smackdown highlights the next day and watch only PLEs live

To be fair you used to have to pay like 60 bucks for an ad free PPV but you don't pay anywhere near that for these shows now so they litter them with ads.
