I think it's the same with Cody. This is his hottest point. It's not going to get better from here. Remember, he stupidly wrote himself off the AEW belt even though he was over at the start and people slowly grew tired of his shit. He didn't get over in NJPW either. Roman holding on the belt doesn't do anything. He has all the "heat" he's going to get at this point. They killed two over babyfaces (who are already hard as shit to create given the nature of wrestling) to put Roman over and it doesn't even matter.
