All I've been hearing in the buildup is how Cody's gimmick is "muh daddy" and it's just not very deep or sympathetic. And how people would've preferred Sami and muh canada pop. People said that about Drew though too and that was too early to pull the trigger. To me it would've been too easy of a path to the top if they had given it to him, he's only been back for a year and besides an unplanned injury he has not gone through any kind of struggle. And I'm sure part of it is just so they can hit le yummy 1,000 days for Roman's reign. Keep in mind how long it took Roman to beat Brock. He probably doesn't want someone to stroll in with ease and make him look like a bitch and I'm sure he has input on who he's going to put over being the top guy.
