because the WWE and other westoid promotions drove the casual mark audience away, to the tune of 3 milly plus, simply by being boring. What was intended as an insult to smarks, instead was a grim prediction of the future of westoid wrestling. A stagnant niche industry, shrinking rather than growing, soon to be run as poorly as the UFC. The only alternative a WCW Thunder-esque husk.

That's the thing though. The whole promo was shitting on smarks for crying that Bryan lost. None of these Bryan fanboys stopped watching, it was the casuals who didn't like Bryan that stopped watching. The promo was completely true, smarks will never stop watching.
