Marks like me see that he does great matches and that his goofy fucking outfits are eye catchers. The promos and laughing is the most cringe thing about him but its something of a quirk, a personality defect that makes him unique in the roster, endearing even like Macho Mans voice.
You could see how he steered away from it for months before wrestlemania and last night was like someone turned up the laughter dial up to 10 again so its definitively not just by accident that they are ruining the crowd interaction too by milking it dry.
