Hell no. Russo is "better" at writing, but only because he's particular style runs are unique, not because they're particularly good.

In order for Russo to work properly, he needs someone -McMahon in WWE and Jarret in TNA- to keep his shit in check. Otherwise you get late-era WCW, which was God fucking awful.

Cornette is alright for wrestling fundamentals and character development and feuds (reminder that he trained Kane and he was the one who suggested the attire and mask), but his booking is... "serviceable" and that's trying to be nice (his suggested Invasion booking still makes no fucking sense to me)

At his worst, Russo... well, remember that one "New York Rules" episode from Thunder? Yeah, you get that.

No thank you. Russo has never been the Michaels and will never be the Michaels. Was Russo always horrible? Fuck no. But Russo's worst was definitely some of the worst wrestling I've ever seen.

Why would I be invested in long ass fake fight if it has no story to be emotionally attached to? Russo was based for having tv matches go 3-5 mins in general except maybe the main event. He had enough creativity to fill the show with storylines, these days they are too lazy to do that.

I became a wrestling fan because of the characters and over the top storylines, not because of le movez. And even the in ring was better before when it was not pre-planned from A to Z and the matches resembled more of a brawl than circus performance
