The legdrop was always a shit-tier move. It clearly doesn't hurt the opponent, but it also clearly hurts the one actually doing it a lot.

Like a lot of finishers, it's not really supposed to "hurt" as such so much as knock the wind out of you. If momentarily out of breath, it's hard to kick out.
