Fucking ridiculous that he never won a world title prior to 2006. He was getting Austin and Rock level pops in his first few years with the WWE (2001-2003), but instead of capitalizing on it, they made him tag with Kane in the midcard. What a joke. Trips prevented so many stars from being made during that time, RVD being the most egregious example.
Even their brief feud seemed to be about Trips recognizing that RVD was more over than he would ever be but it didn't matter cause Gaytch was gonna make sure RVD would "never amount to a damn thing in this business-uh!"
