No one knows what aew is
The people that do know don’t like their product so they don’t go back to it
They have a very loud fan base online but most people either don’t know it exists or hate it because it’s a bad product. They’ve reached their plateau and they’ll never ever grow from here.

Nobody cares about AEW and they never have. It only appeals to a certain type of person (a subhuman). Maybe if their fans weren't such cunts, WWE fans might be inclined to tune in but instead they are pompous dickheads who are completely unlikeable and wrestling fans don't want to associate with them. That's why their viewer numbers never grow.

Dynamite only drew for one period of around 8 months after Punk debuted and carried the company on his back, but by the end it had fizzled out because Tony's booking pissed away all the fans Punk had brought back. Even if he hadn't gotten injured we would've been back to these same numbers and no matter who debuts, Tony will make sure to ruin their hype

WWE fans aren’t pro-wrestling fans, they are WWE fans. Any other pro-wrestling fan has jumped to other companies (not just AEW) years ago. You will have people who will only watch their local school gym company which draws 50 people every week over ever watching any other show. If WWE goes to shit, fans won’t jump ship, they will do one of two things:
1) stop watching WWE outright
2) keep watching WWE because like zombie Simpsons, it’s just too much of a constant in their lives
AEW, Impact, GCW, whatever. Their numbers won’t increase if WWE drops the ball, their numbers will only increase if they give a reason for people to watch LIVE every week. AEW don’t really do this. You can watch the highlights, catch a match on a rerun if you hear it’s good, and then tune in for the PPV. Nothing ever happens on Dynamite which is must see TV like the peaks of the Monday Night War era or even the first year of Dynamite itself.

This. As a Britbong AEW reminds me of the Corbyn vs Boris election. In the week prior votelabour and a bunch of other pro-corbyn terms were trending on twitter. Most polls had a hung parliament or Labour winning. 19 out of the top 20 twitter trends in the UK on election day were pro-labour (and the other one was unrelated to politics) and then the results come in and Corbyns Labour party got absolutely btfo losing by like 100 seats
Twitter and reddit are cesspools populated by a very vocal minority of a few hundred thousand terminally online teenagers with social anxiety. They are completely unrepresentative of the general population on every single issue
Vince won't have even been worried this week

People are angry that WWE sucks because they want the big leagues to be good. No one cares about AEW but the 900k-1m that already watch it and they'll never grow their audience, unless punk comes back then they can pick up like 100k more maybe. If WWE is unwatchable people will just stop watching not move to AEW
