They make more money now than ever before, but that's basically off rights fees and cable collapsing to the point that TV companies will overpay for live television and WWE basically mastered their production/costs.
I just don't see the end-game with Reigns either. I fucking hated the Reign of Terror, but you know what Orton and Batista got made through the angle. I can't really see this "story ending" being worth the three year and change wait. And by the end, is it going to make someone or draw new fans, it doesn't seem likely.
He'll lose, it'll get a pop, and then people won't care because they spent three years making the roster look like geeks anyway.
