It was a great match. All the run in stuff and the constant fucking with Cody from outside was a bit much but overall WWE did a good job. Remains to be seen if the ending was the right or wrong call depending on how things play out for everyone involved.

It would be kino if Roman’s booking wasn’t complete fucking ass.
Why is he built up as this unbeatable monster heel who everyone fears, but in his matches he’s a chicken shit who needs every single thing to go his way to barely win? It’s so dissonant, and inb4 “well that’s just his le character hueha”, shut the fuck up, it’s a horrible character and is so misaligned with how someone of his status should come off as.

I've seen a lot of people make the Luger comparison but it really wasn't nearly that bad. Cody got cheated by several run ins so it's not like he got buried. And there wasn't any huge celebration after he lost. The shot of him looking dejected while Roman celebrates out of focus was actual kino and imo setting up his redemption.
In fact when you think about it Drew and Sami were more similar to the Luger fiasco because they both got weird celebrations with the crowd after losing. Drew especially was fucking weird, that sing a long should have never made the air.

Just give me a match where it feels like Roman EARNED the win and Cody EARNED the main event. The fact they did the same old shit befuddled me to the point where it lingered for days after. The 1000+ day reign for Roman is still cool I guess, but it really didn't have to be like this.

Roman had the same match with Cena, Brock, Sammi, Owens, Drew and a bunch of other buffoons.
Apart from that the build up was godlike just for a shit finish and an even shittier raw afterwards.

I really thought the match was ending after Sami and KO ran in. Not only would they have gotten their revenge on Roman but it would have been the first time a refbump fucked him. Glad it didn't end there though because it would have been really lame for the underdog babyface to win off a run in.
