Rock especially. I will never understand why this faggot got so popular. He only became a pro wrestler when his pro football career failed. He was pushed to the moon when he debuted in 1996, paying zero dues to earn it. He was world champion by 1998. By 2000, Rock was already going on regular hiatus to take roles in TV and films. By 2002 he was officially a part timer, and he had "retired" in 2004.

He was always using wrestling as a stepping stone to a film career. Fuck the Dwayne. Stone Cold Steve Austin will always be the TRUE people's champion.

This isn't true, from what I've seen. All that stuff seems to still be there. Only instances of "black face" have been removed (not actually black face most of the time, except possibly that one time X-Pac did it).

The best wrestlers loved the business and stuck with it. Obviously they wanted to make money, used politics to get a better spot on the card, but they still loved the business. The greats like Flair, Michaels, Hart, they loved pro wrestling. The Dwayne never wanted to be a wrestler and stuck around as little as he could until he could start getting film roles.

Are you really going to admit you can’t tell the difference between a self-mark and a mark for the business? A mark for the business used to be rare and in a post Daniel Bryan world it’s a lot more common to have people who have wanted to be pro wrestlers and nothing else, who go out there and kill themselves for a hot dog. Undercarder likes being Undercarder, not necessarily the wrestler. I’m sure if he could have stayed in Basketball he would have been just as happy. Not even Vince is a mark for the business.

Most pro wrestlers from his era and before were failed pro athletes especially football, The reason guys like him Cena Warrior Goldberg Nash and Hogan succeeded in wrestling was because they weren't hardcore wrestling marks who were committed to the business. They cared more about fame and fortune than they did about entertaining the fans.They don't owe you or anyone else shit. C.M. Austin I think does love Pro Wrestling a lot. He was never a good enough athlete to do anything else like most guys in his era. He also tried to get over in Hollywood but he failed. He’s not a mark for the wrestling business and the fans though. Mick Foley was a guy from that era who was a legit mark for the business. Like anon said there’s so many examples of him taking his ball and going home. A perfect example would have been his run in ECW. He was massively over with the fans, really for the first time in his career despite being not much of a worker. If Austin loved the business and the fans he would have signed with ECW. He took a mark contract and a bump in pay to go be The Ringmaster.
