I like his promos in Japan, I thought he was doing bad anime dub on purpose, but it doesn't work at all in the USA, its very embarrassing like cool lines the autistic kid practiced in the mirror before school.

I fell off of DDT by the time he started getting big there but I had seen clips and a couple of indie appearances, he fit in but I was never really blown away. When he started getting buzz in New Japan as an actual great wrestler I was eager to see how he had improved and was just immediately disappointed. It's fine to not be the most polished performer and his trouble pasted with sexdolls and little girls, but his facial expressions were just too phony for me take anything he did seriously. Will Ospeay had the same problem until like a year ago.
