Whenever I hear something about Cody from backstage it's always praise or how helpful he was to them. I don't know why AEW trannies have such a hate boner for the guy. Even some of the people who actually work at AEW still watch his matches and tweet support.

Cody originally was OK. He's constant fake outs in becoming a heel and basically trying to be Hulk Hogan but minus the charisma and other things made me hate him.
He fucked himself when he purposely banned himself from getting the AEW main belt and he tends to let himself win on all feuds which hinders wrestlers like Lance and Gogo. Also, his entrance is way too fucking long and not the cool kind.

Cody's a wrestling creative madman. A lot of that stuff turns out good, some bad. AEW and Tony Khan let Cody do too much whereas WWE reign him in and put limits on him. There's also the disconnect with Cody's approach to what the AEW fans wanted.

Imagine if Tommy Dreamer or Rob Van Dam just appeared on WWE for no reason, back in the UFC days. He was the face of AEW for the longest time. While I didn't care for him due to the obvious nepotism, seeing him turn his back on the company obviously was shocking.
