The only person close to him is ironically Eddie Guerrero, but we never got the best Eddie Guerrero. His in-ring prime was 1995-97 before his car accident that nearly killed him, but he didn't develop his "lie cheat steal" persona that got fans behind him until 2004 after his world title win. If you combined those two versions of Eddie then you would get the greatest of all time, but he never figured character work out until 2003-05

There's probably better showcases of his technicality but Angle and Benoit vs Edge and Mysterio at 2002 is one of my favorite matches of all time. Also the man was so intense in the ring. I remember being super sold on him vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE title on Smackdown. Crazy size difference but I was worried for Brock when I was a kid. I really enjoyed the match too

There's barely any footage unfortunately of Gotch in the ring besides that one tag match with Thesz vs Inoki and Sakiguchi. As far as guys with a reasonably amount of recorded matches go, I think Billy Robinson has to be in the conversation. I've mostly just seen the broadway with Inoki and a best of three falls match with Baba and both of them are great.
