WWE has been catering to "the children" for 16 years now yet the audience still overwhelmingly looks like this. Is it time to throw in the towel and go back to TV-14? More kids were unironically watching during the Attitude Era than they are now.

Kids will always like what older teens think is cool. The key demographic is 16-21, since that age group generally defines popular culture which is worshipped by children, bemoaned by boomers, and begrudgingly filtered into the in between

I'll say yes. With your example, a lot of kids grew up watching Hogan so when WWE's transitioned from New Gen to Attitude Era, it was perfect timing to capitalize on that.
Only problem is WWE is a publicly traded company, and sponsors would dip if it went over the line so that's why I doubt we will ever go back to anything like that.
