Cena isn't in the top 500 in terms of in ring abilities but he's certainly in the discussion for having the greatest main event run of all time.

I started watching wrestling in 95, cena is hands down the GOAT because of how long and how ruthlessly efficiently he protected the business from dimless shitters. I like him, but he's far from a GOAT. He is not on the Austin/Rock/Hogan/Andre/Bret/HBK level at all. He surpassed some of them in terms of recognizability, but ability in the ring, selling, promos, all that, he's fucking garbage. I legitimately do not believe that under any circumstances, anyone actively watching WWE from 07-12 thinks Cena is worth a shit. Thinking he's great is a telltale sign you only watched him in retrospect and not in real time.

This is mainly because WWE was visibly "kid shit" by the late 2000s, soon as I hit 10-11 I realised it was basically like watching Pokemon or little kid cartoons still but I also had a pretty fucked childhood so maybe it's different for most.
