>>9749483You call the next three shows the babyface's "victory tour" where he does multiple short squashes and backstage bits/encounters/plot development in between other people's matches.
In the backstage stuff you show his best friend/ally or one of his cadre looking uncomfortable or awkward, being spoken over and laughing it off, etc...then as you progress the victory tour he doesn't show up in a few, and in one he can be seen in the background seething or spying or just glaring from concealment.
Then at the end of the third one he breaks a fucking chair over the champ's back right as he's about to pin his most difficult fight of the victory tour and is already weak. Cue OUT OF CONTROL PANDEMONIUM THEY'RE IGNORING THE REF OH MY GOD IT'S A FUCKING BETRAYAL AND HIS OPPONENT IS MORE THAN WILLING TO TEAM UP 2 V 1, SCREW THE RULES THEY'RE PHYSICALLY TRYING TO TAKE THE BELT FROM HIM!
And then he has to beat both of them down to physically retain the belt, OR he's listed as the champion still but has to fight a match a week against a gauntlet of enemies for four or five weeks to get to the guy who took the belt (which would be the betrayer who would manage to snatch it) to physically get it back.
And the traitor says I never got the title shot I deserved, I could have beaten you any day of the week but the corrupt fed politics never gave me a chance (whether true or not doesn't matter, he's a heel and an elevated former babyface midcarder no one would have suspected would do this anyways), and then finally the champ gets his belt back and continues his title reign as you go on to the next thing
