As for Bret Hart, he kept the WWF alive after the steroids scandal and was a genuine draw. The fan loved and supported him - much to Vince's anger. Bret Hart succeeded in spite of Vince and his fetish for muscular men (in a totally heterosexual way, of course). I can only imagine how huge he could have been if the WWF had actually given him the backing and mega-push they did for guys like Lex and Diesel. Also, the dude was legit 6.1 and was the guy who handpicked Austin, helping make him the megastar he would become (because the WWF fucked Austin up because of course, they fucking did) and protected the Rock from HHH and Shawn. You may not like the dude, but he is absolutely one of the most important wrestlers in the company's history - easily in the top five with the likes of Hogan and Austin.
