The thing is, two things we know about Khan is he loves statistics and he also loves to use statistics to gloat about his show. If he was actually making any kind of statistical profit, you know this muthafucker would be sharing it constantly on Twitter. That's why you just know AEW is deep in the red and Tony is funding most of the shit out of daddy's pocket. The question becomes: when does Daddy say no more? That's the day AEW closes its doors.

this. Dynamite's ratings have been pretty bad, but the original projection for the show was NXT numbers so it's not out of the question that they'll have another few years on primetime basic cable, plus Shad's pockets are so fucking deep now that it barely makes a dent in the family fortune
it is within reason to suggest however that AEW will not turn a cent of revenue into profit in that time

When you have a niche product such as wrestling and there are really only two options of wrestling shows to watch, the fact that they are more than doubled in ratings by the other wrestling show isn't a good sign. Don't give me the "WWE is a 40 year old company" cope either. Everyone who is a wrestling fan knows of AEW's existence at this point. They choose not to watch it.

i wonder what it is that makes aew so off putting to the average modern wwe viewer since both companies do a lot of the exact same annoying shit that is unwatchable to me 99% of the time (especially the camera cuts)
i guess it makes sense that people would rather watch 6'5" football players spam finishers and nearfalls instead of 5'8" BJJ nerds, that's the main difference i can think of
