Despite what Meltzer keeps claiming, AEW is not on ITV in the UK and Ireland. It's on ITV4. A channel that is only on digital TV subscriptions and no one watches it. They only way to really get a big viewership within that market is to broadcast it on free TV. ITV are not going to move their biggest shows off of TV for some random wrestling show. They might be able to get it onto ITV4 love, but no one would even notice unless they knew about aew to begin with. Tony approaches publicity by appearing on random podcasts and that's it. He won't reach any new audience that way. I have seen absolutely zero advertisements for AEW in the UK and Ireland market. Literally none. Have they even sent someone to appear on a talk show? PAC literally lives in England, why hasn't he done press? Because Tony can't promote. There's no need for WWE to do anything.
It is a big deal and it will be huge news within wrestling if it gets a big attendance, it might even annoy some people in London for a couple of days having all these fat geeks who never leave their home suddenly wobbling around the streets in ugly wrestling shirts - this happens every time WWE run a show here, there are suddenly obese people all over the city in wrestling shirts and it's annoying. But unless AEW hires someone competent to negotiate media appearances and a broadcasting deal for the show, it's just going to be news within the wrestling bubble with the people who already watch aew.
