Riley anon here, I have a lot of catching up to do with these threads. Thinking of doing a backstage interview where I vent my frustrations over my recent losses, so I declare all my matches going forward will be under International Waters (No DQ/Unsanctioned) like Raven’s Rules in WCW. I'm sure your cellulite-clogged brain was too busy thinking of food to notice, but I've been dirtying all the glasses in your house while regaining MY weight! Any second, I'll crash right through your walls and cause property damage the likes of which you've never seen! Let's see if your home insurance covers 'EMPRESS' WRATH!' GEHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOUR PREMIUMS SHALL SEE RATES THAT NO MORTAL CAN PAY!"

She hadn't had the chance to visit Holly in the hospital; the WWA medics were adamant that she shouldn't follow, anyway, perhaps to avoid her leaking any news before she was cleared. Not to mention with Daimaou roaming her house, she had to make sure she wasn't doing anything troublesome.

But Holly Hope-Again saying "thank you?" What were the odds of that?

...she'd have to visit later.

Shogun shot up from her chair, immediately grabbed her training gear, and rushed out the door, Daimaou calling behind her:

"YOU CAN'T ESCAPE MY GAZE FOREVER, SHOGUN! Soon enough your bottled water will be next! AND I'LL MAKE SURE NOT TO RECYLE!"

Despite the threat, Shogun had the biggest smile on her face that she had had in days. As if the match, the emotional duress, and the loss of confidence wasn't there.

Someone was counting on her. Holly Hope-Again, of all people.

Howdy, Cactusanon here.

I have been asking but can't get a straight answer about whether the three way dance was still scheduled. When the first match finished, lots of people were saying it should be Cassie/Jane one on one, but I said that didn't make sense following their Last Waifu Standing match.
Then some others said they wanted to join the division, but they have done nothing about it. I suggested they challenge Ava or Cassie for their spot, and whether they won or lost it might become a four way or more way if others wanted to join.
All I wanted was that people make decisions about their characters and their direction.

If all of that is too complicated, then let's just do the three way dance and move on from there.

Night settles over the village, the sound of water lapping against wood and the gentle chirping of frogs the only companions to the moon. A few residents remain outside, discussing in their local dialect the news of the preceding day, the sort of gossip that so regularly grips remote locales where everyone knows everyone. The smell of cigarettes and the aromas of rice wine accompany the laughter and hushed words of sun-darkened fishermen and their ever-harsh wives. The hamlet is one of peace and tranquility, a bastion of a bygone age from before the era of cable television and the steam engine. Only the electric lights and the ever-present t-shirts depicting soccer teams both local and European betray the seep of modernity into even a town as lost to time as this one.

The sole train station sits dormant, the last ancient carriage out of Bangkok having entered and left not an hour ago. Wayward children and wouldbe scholars return to their ancestral home, visiting grandparents and returning from trips to the grand city of the south. But with them walks another.

A stranger in a strange land, the girl ignores the curious glances she gets from the locals. Her skin is sun-dark, but naturally pale, and her hair is lighter than any shade present in that rural township. It is rare for a foreigner to visit, but not unheard of. Fish and rice may be the primary exports of the village, but they are not its most famous.

The girl walks with dogged purpose, but downcast eyes betray her somber attitude and near-defeated energy. Another wayward soul. A westerner who has heard tale of the fairytales coming out of the town and wishes to seek the guidance of the venerable masters within.

The man halts, his anger visibly deflating.

His own response comes in broken English, "Another lost flock then, come try your hand at the origin? Why come?"

"Strength."

"Not whole truth," He tsks, "But my son send many stupid girl here to learn. What I call you?"

She pauses... "Maria."

Thanks brother. Writing prose on 4chan isn't something I am used to so it's a change of pace and it's the first time really doing something 'solo' or 'planned' with Holly. I think in terms of the feud, it works out alright as well and allows for Holly to serve as a supporting role for the existing stories in the DA-challenge arc. Failed attempt to 'save' Amy, 'martyr'ed for Shogun, Kade stomped and Lucy and Sapphire proved their mettle by the three of them winning/putting her out of commission, plus cameos with Ash etc.

Maria had no intention of pursuing ancient wisdom. She didn't care for it. No, she'd come with a simple, single-minded goal, she would learn to hit harder, she'd prove herself in the birthplace of her chosen fighting style, and she would return to the US with a vengeance.

The teacher had seen that immediately. Had seen the bloodlust hidden beneath the shell of a broken girl. Maybe that was why he'd taken her in, not out of some sense of duty to a long-prodigal son. Maria liked to think so, although she knew in her heart that the man didn't give a shit about her. No more than she gave a shit about him. He was a means to an end. A way to improve herself.

She stared out at the crystal waters of the river, the sound of lapping waves and squawking waterbirds serving as a calming backdrop to the stoney determination that had risen within her. She didn't notice the man approach from behind her.

"You up late."

Maria opened her mouth to speak but found the man had cut her off before she could harness a word-

"You waste today. Tomorrow, dawn, we train, in gym. You train good enough, we enter you in real fight. Local fight."

The wrestler seethed silently, nodded, then stormed off down to the river to sulk.

(I am very happy to let this one play out and see what happens, but Romero/Omega was something I was hoping to save for down the road due to their similar and shared Goon Japan backstories (and I'm having a blast just shit talking her all the time). Omega and Amy did recently trade some words, so that side of the coin flip works well if it were to happen.
I am also happy for this to be altered due to shenanigans so Omega never even gets a match with the winner. Two main events and then an IC title match is three big spots in a row, and I'd be lying if even I said that seemed fair.)

It's certainly an option. I (Omeganon) am a sucker for traditional title matches, and I feel like the WWA has had too many multi person title matches in its short history. I am also the autist pushing for more contendership matches and proper win loss records, so in theory I love this idea.

I could even suggest it be something like Ash and Amy pick a (realistic) opponent for each other, and we see who deserves the title match more. I'm just spitballing.
