I think Michaels had more to work with. AJ's problem is that by the time he got to WWE he was kind of old and the company was filled with shitters he couldn't have a good feud with. Compare that to Michaels who has worked with pretty much every big star.

Shawn is probably better all around, when it comes to in-ring abilities, they are both insanely good, but I think AJ Styles is marginally better, when it comes to talking though, Shawn wipes the floor with AJ, it's not even close. But at the end of the day, 2 of the absolute best workers of all time.
