This. Has everyone forgotten that this is a show? And it's not like he insisted that Owen's match continue and he eat a pin then and there after shoot dying. They moved on to the next act like any show would. If he was the star of the main event then yeah they'd have to end it because there would be no more show, but people in the audience would have still been pissed they paid money for tickets to see a show and it stopped early, even if The show must go on. You can't say the show must go on then as the show is going on you interrupt it again to not only remind the viewers of the thing that the show went on from, but also tell them that the thing killed the performer, then still carry on the show from there. What the fuck.
They should have either closed the show with the death announcement, or better yet do a press release after the show to confirm the death

People forget that the turning point for Bret warming up to Vince again was the fact that Vince was one of the first people to call Bret after he had his stroke
Vince had no selfish money-related reason to do that because Bret was never a megadraw. I think even though Vince never personally liked Bret like he did Shawn, he always had a great deal of respect for him. Likely because Bret was one of the guys who helped keep his company afloat through its worst period

The arena was dark during the fall because they were getting Owen properly positioned to start his descent, also because they were playing Owen's pre-recorded Blue Blazer promo on the titantron for the crowd to watch. Highly unlikely that any fan would be recording in that scenario because they wouldn't expect anything worthy of recording at that time

WWE hired a third-party company for the whole thing. They brought the $68 clip. They didn’t send Bruce Prichard to Lowe’s to grab some rope and pulleys so they could have two local jobbers lower Owen into the ring. Just look at the difference in how Vince treated Titus tripping and falling at that Rumble match, and Shane KWABing himself at Wrestlemania
They replayed the shit out of Titus falling, openly laughed at and highlighted it on commentary, talked about the memes, and didn't even try to cover it up even though when he first fell the camera wasn't on him. The TV audience would have never known about it until afterwards when fan footage of it hit social media
Yet Shane got the full cover-up and they pretended like everyone didn't clearly see him fuck himself up
Vince doesn't give a shit about most of the wrestlers that work for him
