Why do wrestling fans develop parasocial relationships with wrestlers and promoters? Its not a new thing either, I remember kids on the playground getting worked to tears if you called Shawn Michaels a fag or said WCW was shit. These days its only different in that social media has made access to these people easier and thus making the whole situation worse. Why do people get so worked up over things that are ultimately trivial?
