Because they don’t want to have personality. Nobody wants to push the bar anymore in terms of gimmicks because they fear of offending someone. So you’re left with tights and knee pads and that’s it. Compare this to Austin, who had a fantastic vest, personality, and his merch is insane. None of these new wrestlers can do this.

Nah I get what he’s saying. Wrestlers usually had something that stood out back then. Even ruthless aggression era had this, hence why Cena wears shoes & shorts, Cryme Time was over due to this as well. When everyone wears the same stuff, it just really doesn’t get anyone interested. Hell, Roman wears jeans instead of generic tights, which makes him stand out vs anyone now.
