It's meant to be light-hearted fun for the family and to help develop new talent. Shawn understands that which is why segments are shot like a Hallmark show, and talent get to try out things that they wouldn't be able to try on the main shows.

basically nxt has free reign to do whatever the fuck it wants. its basically a test kitchen for wwe, they just try everything and see what would work for main roster and what wouldnt. everything from gimmicks, to different kinds of promos, to backstage segments, to camera work.

I don't watch other shows so I can't really compare it to anything, but it keeps my interest.
It's well structured and flows well. The wrestlers are varied and interesting.
2 hours a week and be up to date on everything.
