I literally don't acknowledge Shawn Michaels as a member of DX. He is like fake DX to me. So Waltman started real DX which shifted power from the NWO faction being most litty to DX because it was fun to crotch shop and say suck it and get suspended for nine days.
So in a way based Bischoff is right yet again in hindsight. The fact that Pac shit all over Bischoff in the promo makes Bischoff the better man to acknowledge he deserved that shit and it was there that the seeds to WCWs destruction from being edgy alternative to being uncool boomer dogshit was laid bare.

Keep in mind he hadn't seen anything even close to this since Hulkamania (and maybe the Lawrence Taylor match but even that wasn't that big of a deal), and this happened just a few years after his company faced an ever-growing possibility of getting killed off
Tyson played a major part in WWE coming back against WCW

Man, shut your dumb ass up. I mean it. You clearly weren't watching WWE back then if you thought Mike's appearance was not a huge deal. I was a young preteen fan back when it happened and up until then the only other persons in my school and neighborhood who I ever heard talk about wrestling at all were 5 or 6 other boys. After Mike started that brawl with Austin just about every boy talked about it especially the older boys who normally only cared about sports and hip hop. I heard some adults talking about it too. My pops and my two uncles talked about it, and my pops once watched Raw with me just to try to see Mike. That was one of only 3 times he ever watched WWE with me and the other 2 times he kept going at me for watching "this fake stuff". Even the old guys at my barbershop talked about Mike going into "rasslin". Everything Mike did had the world paying attention to him back then especially after the ear bite

X-Pac was like the only one out of the Outsiders who wrestled in WCW when they arrived.
He was also the gatekeeper for the Kliq when they wanted to test guys if they were good workers.
He saw Nash and Hall were getting paid to do nothing and probably got paid more just to jump ship.

Well in Shawns case it doesn’t matter really. Most kids who grew up with DX associated Shawn with still being the leader and being a big part of the Attitude Era even though he technically wasn’t. Probably because Vince still put Shawn front and center on dx merch back in the day

The turn on Kane was such a dropped ball, I remember feeling like he got Big Show syndrome by that point where he'd turn every other week and it meant nothing. But he had great momentum as a babyface and people didn't want to see him retreading all the same shit, went from reliably upper midcard to outright jobber in about a year. But I remember him as a playground favorite for sure.

I would say bischoff is exaggerating a little. X Pac was an important part of DX without a doubt, but him jumping back to the WWF was not really a turning point. Watching it as a young fan, my reaction was "damn, the 123 kid jumped back again? How many more times is he gonna switch feds?" It was definitely not a crushing blow to WCW.

Tyson was a publicity machine after biting Holyfield's ear, that was probably the biggest sports story of the decade
All eyes were on him when he went to WWE
Vince makes a lot of questionable business moves but bringing in Tyson had to be one of the best decisions he ever made
