The most embarrassing thing about AEW is how often the backstage drama overshadows the actual show. Now they're doing an entire show on TV about how fake wrestling is, and it does nothing but expose backstage drama. Such a pathetic joke of a promotion.

WWE's are worse because they completely break kayfabe and have HHH up there talking about stories and booking. AEW usually keeps kayfabe during the scrums.

Everyone knows wrestling is fake but no one wants to listen to banana nose talk about how he booked Cody to lose because it doesn't make sense for him to win yet 15 minutes after the mainevent of Wrestlemania. Can you imagine The Rock and SCSA yucking it up together minutes after their match talking about how bad that one bump hurt and how Vince booked SCSA to go over this time, but next time Steve will put him over?

Wrestling lost the casual fans years ago. The only hope for the industry is the mega fans who are just as invested in the backstage shenanigans and metanarrative as they are on the on-screen product. So they appeal to them now, especially the whales who are willing to spend 1000s on front row tickets, travel packages, autographs, fake belts etc.

I think it's a great idea.
As you point out, everybody knows about the backstage drama anyway so may as well make some money off it and try to get a few matches out of the stories.

I think that is stupid. And I also hate when AEW would acknowledge Dark Side of the Ring. If the wrestlers want to talk about how wrestling is fake in interviews after the show, that's whatever, but acknowledging on the actual wrestling show that wrestling is fake is so stupid.
