Takeshita is a multiple time world champion. His TV debut was a loss to Jay Lethal, who has never won in aew at that point. He has won one match on TV and it was against Brian Cage, a guy who loses to everyone so it meant nothing. Takeshita followed that up with losses again.
Rush leads a faction in aew and he has had no notable wins at all.

Tony has diminished the entire roster with this horrible booking. There is not a single viable contender for the world title besides the guys who came in from WWE and new japan as established guys, who also barely lose. The only established guys on the roster are guys who were established before Tony got them.
