ECW should have stayed as a cheap weekly 2 hour show that served as a punishment fed wrestlers would be sent to when the story line dictates it. Like if Kurt Angle ran into a match and interfered Teddy Long would banish him to ECW the following week for 1 hardcore match NO DQ with Tommy Dreamer. ECW would be seen as some kind of penalty box for WWE and NXT wrestlers and the only regulars would be the most deranged wrestlers. Could have worked.

I think his biggest problem was a lack of ambition. WWE obviously wanted to push him to the moon but he seems like he just wanted a paycheck and to put in as little effort as possible.
