Technically, David Finlay wasn't the leader yet. And part of the storyline is precisely that Gedo has plausible deniability on if he had anything to do with Jay getting attacked and if he recruited Finlay before or after the attack.

I remember people talking about BC like it was goofy and shit, like HoT, except it had a bunch of banger workers in it who could overcome every match being stacked with interference. Devitt's BC still had goofy shit in it but it didn't bloat out of control and go into parody status truly till AJ took over.
