I just can’t believe that Jay would be retarded enough to agree that his first storyline would be with Shawn spears lol. I’m not saying he would have full creative control but he is one of the few workers with real buzz around him in the business, he’s got bullet club/elite/njpw ties with a ton of guys, got smark cred, is a legitimately good worker, whatever. He has enough weight that he would be able to tell Tony he wants a hot angle when he first signs, did he just not think to bring that up in contract negrotiation?
